Accessibility statement
Last updated 6 November 2026
The University of Huddersfield wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. It has been designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in line with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
What we have done
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a “skip to content” link.
- All functions, including the self-assessment, work with a keyboard alone, with visible focus.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are described in text and linked to the field.
- Colour contrast meets AA, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
- Pages reflow at 320px width and up to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Animations respect your “reduce motion” setting.
- Your readiness report can be saved as a PDF or printed.
Known limitations
Partner logos are images; their names are provided as alternative text. If you find something that does not work for you, please tell us.
Feedback and contact
If you need information in a different format, or have access requirements for the event, email gulger.mallik@hud.ac.uk. We aim to reply within five working days.
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
